!!House Fire on Axis Deer Cove!!
On Saturday, August 10th, 2008 home burned down on Axis Deer Cove. This was the 3rd fire and 2nd home fire in the neighborhood in the last seven months. The home was a total loss. The official cause of the fire was an electrical short in the garage door sensor circuits.

In light of these recent neighborhood tragedies, on August 14th the Frank Hansen, chairman of the Whitetail Water Committee, held a news conference to update the public on the need for a water system in Whitetail and to request the assistance of state and local agencies in the area. This press conference was attended by neighborhood residents, and KEYE, KVUE, KXAN and the Hill Country news.
